The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Beijing. CCG conducts research in a range of social science areas including world affairs, international talent issues, sustainable development, entrepreneurship and globalization. Founded by a number of returned scholars from the west together with the Policy Advisory Committee of the China Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA), CCG aims to utilise its ‘pool of first-class scholars, business leaders and experts in government, (to) address issues on how best to position China in a globalized world’. The organisation’s Director-General is Wang Huiyao, who is also the founding director of South China Global Talent Institute and a leading Chinese academic on business and development. The other directors are Gao Zhikai, Tang Min, Tao Qinghua, Tian Suning and Xue Lan. ==Research==
CCG specialises in research pertaining to Chinese development in relation to globalization. Within this there is a focus on topics such as the global movement of talent and the development of entrepreneurship and enterprise. CCG has played a prominent role in shaping the debate on talent within China and collaborated with the national government for a long-term research study on this topic in 2008.
